"Waitin' for Roundup"
19"x25" framed and matted, Watercolor
Gallery Price: $500

Born and raiised in Wisconsin, Bamey. as he prefers to be called, has lived in Colordo since 1965. He began painting in 1972 after a minor skiing acddent. Six years later he sold his husiness and went full time inlo a career in art. .

Barney's work in wildlife, and Iandscape reflects his love for the outdoors. His favorite subjects are old buildings, mountains, and Western scenes in general. "I enjoy bringing action into my work. It seems to make the painting come alive. I am attracted by what I see ", Barney says, "and there are some scenes where people naturally belong. Vendors on a street in old .\texico or children dressed in bright Sunday colors cannot be eliminated from the setting they bring to life."

His sculptured pieces capture the graceful solemnity of birds and waterfowl, particularly the blue heron and canada geese he knows so well. His portraits in pencil and oil celebrate the human figure in action.
