Charlotte McDavid was born and raised in Mountain Brook, Alabama.
She majored in History in college and Business Administration in graduate school.
It was not until her children were in college that she finally tried painting.
A friend talked her into taking a watercolor class from a local artist and she was hooked.

She also paints in oils when she travels around her state with the Alabama Plein Air Artists.

She is a Signature Member of the Watercolor Society of Alabama.
Her paintings have been shown in the Watercolor Society of Alabama National Exhibition (Juried) 2009, 2010  and in the Watercolor Society of Alabama Members Shows (Juried)  2 years.

Also in the Energen Art Competition (Juried) 2008, 2009, 2010.

Watercolor Society of Alabama (National Juried Show) 2011.
Energen Art Competition (Juried) 2011.  Painting was purchased for their corporate collection.
