Gary Huber

Artwork submitted for bid
at our September 6,2009
auction:

.
"Autumn Hillside"
9"x12", Pastel on hardboard
Gallery price: $500

Raised in the rolling farm country of Pennsylvania, Gary Huber was pulled by his sense of adventure to the great American west. Always engaged in some form of artistic expression, he has found his niche in painting the western landscape. His favorite medium is pastel.

Gary's art explores the strong natural design of the landscape. He strives to connect his passion for exploring and discovering nature with outdoor experiences that he and his viewers share in common. Creating art is a way to become closer to the places he loves while sharing that love with others. His paintings have an atmospheric, tranquil feel to them yet convey a sense of the awesome scope and power of the American west. People often remark that Gary’s paintings make them feel welcome to enter and make their own discoveries. That’s just what the artist wants to hear.

Gary has won numerous first place awards and accolades including Best of Show at the Mile Hi National Exhibition and Best Pastel at the Western Spirit Art Show. He is a member of the Pastel Society of America and a signature member of the Pastel Society of Colorado. He makes his home in the Bighorn mountains of Wyoming.
