ARTIST’S STATEMENT

The desire to express myself in a visually creative manner is channeled mainly into the disciplines of Drawing, Painting, and Sculpting.

One of my main challenges is to suggest the form of something that occupies space as well as evoking a response in the viewer. It is important for me to make evident some of the essence of a human being with these disciplines. The technical aspects such as correct value, composition, and form, are some of the elements which are important to create the image and feeling in my work.

I sift through my experiences, visual and emotional, then express my feelings through art, maybe a little of the sifted matter will spark a response in one viewer.
