Jan Perkins graduated in painting and illustration from Utah State University. Since then she has worked as an illustrator but more recently and passionately as a western landscape painter. Her focus is on rustic old farms and ranches, nature, and places with a real sense of history and beauty. Horses, cows, and western wildlife are also favorite subjects along with an occasional flyfishing painting. “When I am in the presence of nature, of animals, of a certain kind of light, I am immediately restored to peace, to wholeness, to an indescribable calm. For me, these experiences are nothing less than sacred. I strive to create paintings that reflect this experience.“

Jan’s paintings are included in several collections in Utah, her home state, as well as across the US. Jan is represented by Montana Trails Gallery in Bozeman MT,The Robert Kelly Gallery in Park City, UT.
