Joseph Todorovitch.. 'Im a contemporary painter who looks to the past for clues about the future of painting. By understanding fundamental principals of picture making, we can develop paintings that are harmonious and innovative. My work is primarily figurative and aims to create a visual field of atmosphere, space, and light. The subjects are often contemplative and tend to evoke subtle narratives within the viewers. Im working to create paintings that draw the viewers in and hold them while providing interest that makes it difficult to stop investigating. Although difficult at times, paintings should evolve from a natural place within, with ease.
