Kerry Eriksen divides her time between Lantana, on Florida’s east coast and the small town of Creede, nestled among the San Juan Mountains and the Rio Grande River of Colorado.  After graduating from Florida State University Kerry further pursued her art education by studying with marine artist Murray York of Nova Scotia.   She studied for several years under his guidance refining her drawing, compositional and painting skills.  Kerry considers herself a contemporary impressionist painter.  Her subject matter ranges from and is inspired by her love of the ocean and coastal regions of the United States as well as the unsurpassed beauty of the San Juan Mountains of Colorado.  She continues her education by taking workshops and painting with nationally recognized painters most recently with marine artist Donald Demers and plein air painter Rick Howell of Colorado.
