Artwork
submitted for bid
at our September 4, 2011 auction:

"Golden_Eagle"
10"x8", Acrylic on Canvas
Gallery Price: $1,250
Larry Tucci’s art has been featured on four state trout stamps, and been honored with inclusion in shows such as Art of the Animal Kingdom, at the Bennington Center for the Arts, and the National Park Service's Arts for the Parks Top 100 traveling exhibition. Larry also has the unique distinction of having been commissioned by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to be the last living artist featured on their State Trout Stamp. Today his art is found in private collections and public institutions throughout North America.
The artistic path Larry has traveled has been a progression from creating detailed, technically accurate paintings, toward finding an individuality and a more expressive visual voice. Recent years have found Larry working exclusively in oil on canvas and exploring the joys of plein air painting. Always underlying has been a foundation of strong draftsmanship, knowledge of subject and attention to composition.
In August of 2009, Larry moved with his wife and their two young children to Fort Collins, Colorado to pursue the next chapters in his artistic development.
