In search or the perfect flowers for  a painting I scout out my garden and find just what I am looking for.  Sometimes I paint in the garden and sometimes I bring things in to do still life.  I also paint landscape from life and photos. There are times when my energy gets tweaked to paint dogs or children and then I turn to my family for grandchildren portraits or photos of their dogs.

     Although I used to paint in en Pleine Air, I do not do that as often these days since I have had some back problems. I go out and take photos and work in my studio.  I love what I do and am grateful to live in Colorado where the light is great, the flowers bloom for half the year   and the sunshine makes the world more beautiful.
