Artist Bio In 2001 I found myself among a group of fabulous painters in Southern Vermont painting side by side with Richard Schmid and Nancy Guzik and the original 11 Putney Painters and for 5 years this was my classical training. Moving to Santa Fe in 2005 was bitter sweet. I was sorry to leave The Putney Painters, but Santa Fe opened up new venues for me and introduced me to a range of fine While studying still life to strengthen my Southwest landscapes, I found my signature work, the intimate still life. You just can’t beat a day out with friends painting en plein aire, but painting an object of beauty whether a bowl or pear slowly and lovingly has great rewards. |
