Patrice Walker finds inspiration for her paintings outside, in nature, where most of her artwork begins on location, or en plein air. In the studio she uses her plein air studies to create larger works in both oil and watercolor. Patrice grew up on the Front Range of Colorado, spent most of her life living in Colorado's mountains and western slope, and currently divides her time between Colorado and Santa Fe, NM. She has studied art in the US and abroad in Florence, Italy. Patrice's paintings focus on the landscape, birds and wildlife.

Patrice has received numerous awards for her art, most recently with both Artist's Choice and 3rd Place at the Plein Air Artists of Colorado 2011 juried exhibit at Saks Galleries, Denver, and both an Award of Artistic Excellence and Jury's Top Sixty at the 2010 Salon International Exhibit, at Greenhouse Gallery, San Antonio, Texas. She has also been honored with two solo shows.
