     Through his art, Steven Hileman desires to communicate his personal vision of God’s creation.  To that end, he has been quietly and consistently developing his unique voice within the world of representational art.  If art can be defined as what happens in that space between the work itself and the viewer, then Steven places great value on the response his work elicits, not just on his technique and subject matter.

     Born in Pennsylvania in 1976, Steven’s artistic proclivity manifested itself early in his childhood.  After earning a degree in art from Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida, Steven applied his skills for three years in the field of illustration.  In 2002, Steven began pursing his personal work full time.  Since then, his paintings have been exhibited nationally and have received numerous awards.  Consequently, Steven’s art has increasingly attracted the attention of collectors and fellow artists alike.

     Steven lives with his wife and five children in Bucksport, Maine.
