Award winning American impressionist, Tricia Bass paints with a vibrant, expressive, Russian influenced style. “As a child I was always running around outside barefoot and wild.  Now I find it amazing and miraculous that I actually get paid to be outdoors, painting this magnificent Western landscape,” the artist states.  Bass strives to express mood and emotion in her work with the use of color, light and form.  She shows her work at Elk Horn Gallery in Winter Park, Colorado, Link .Gallery in Cheyenne, Wyoming and Ago Gallery in Ouray, Colorado.   She has a B.A. in Fine Art from the University Of Florida, with a minor in art history.  Her Russian painting style comes by way of several years of study at the Sahli School of Art.  Bass continues to grow as an artist by all she sees and learns from many talented, professional painting friends, and by many, many hours working en plein air.  Tricia considers herself a huge fan and student of study of deceased artists Sergei Bongart, Fedor Zakharov and American Edgar Payne, as well as living legends Don Sahli, Scott Christensen and Scott Yeager. She calls Golden, Colorado home and will gladly provide you with tea and scones for a personal, private exhibition in her studio.  Please call and give her advance notice of your visit so she can learn how to make scones.
