William Pilch Artwork
submitted for bid
“On the Edge of Colorado”
William Pilch is one of Fort Collins unique artists. His art work is eclectic, playful, energetic, colorful, and it always tells a story. It’s hard to describe his work when you look at it. When his art is in a gallery people spend considerable time studying it and enjoying the experience. There is something 3 dimensional about it and if you see it, like most people, you ask: “How does he do that?” He says that each piece is a part of history; something that is recorded. Each piece tells a story. He laughs when he describes how he collects the materials he uses on his work. It is always a pleasure to see a man of his stature and masculinity work in such a playful and delicate manner. He says, “If you happen to see me out and about, you might catch me at the gumball machines. I collect toys, and other objects, art materials from gumball machines”, he laughs. I can see him pulling out his change and deciding what machine to spend his change on. He says he William Pilch holds degrees in Psychology, Art Education, Physical Education, Science, Masters Degree in Creative Education, and a CAS 1. He currently is the creator and producer of the first Pop-up Restaurant and Show in Colorado and his work can be seen in gallery’s in Fort Collins, Denver and Greeley.
