Originally from California, Yvette has traveled the globe extensively, pursuing foreign cultures and terrain.  She now resides in Loveland, CO, and is delighted to be a full time painter.

Ultimately inspired by the beautifully rugged landscape surrounding her and the wildlife it supports, she strives to be truly present in this awesome land and depict it authentically.

Yvette is equally touched by the subtle emotional qualities present in the subjects she portrays in her paintings, be it portraiture, figurative or wildlife.  She finds portraying people of today’s American West to be especially insightful, lively and colorful.

She enjoys the pure experience of painting on site, en plein air, completing larger works in her studio, using her field references and research.
